Ekklesia works on a not-for-profit, co-operative basis and does not accept funding from large individual donors or from the Churches, so that it can maintain its independence. There is a significant cost to Ekklesia in doing this, but we feel that it is the right thing to do.
For a period we had a small paid staff team, but that has reduced to the equivalent of less than one post over the past year and the majority of our associates are volunteers. This minimises our running costs, and means that every pound given makes a real difference in terms of the projects we undertake and what we are able to achieve.
But we do ask people who benefit from, or appreciate what Ekklesia does, to consider making a donation, however small, to enable us to continue what we do.
