Dear Friends,

Dear Friends,

Annual Appeal

paypal logo

This year’s Annual Appeal has been on the theme of make room at the inn – particularly focussing on the needs of refugees, disabled, homeless and other marginalised people. As you can see from our review of 2015  – making room for all is central to our work.

Today, as we celebrate the arrival of the Wise Men at Jesus’ stable, we want to look ahead to the work we are planning that will extend this theme. Whether putting on  events, such as February’s discussion on faith and sexuality with Peter Tatchell and Sally Hitchener,  producing our next book on Christian responses to the housing crisis, or completing our survey on the work capability assessment,  we want to transform politics and belief so everyone has a place. Can you help us?

We run Ekklesia with a very small team of part-time staff  and a network of voluntary associates.

Our core costs are £85,000/ year, less than half of which comes from grant funding.  Because we function on very tight margins, your donation  can make a real difference to us.

  • A £10 donation pays for a week’s phone bills, or a month’s worth of stationery.
  • £20 covers a week’s web maintenance
  • £50 will help fund the refreshments for an event.
  • £100 pays for speaker’s costs
  • £250 will contribute to the printing of a report
  • £500 will pay for half a year’s website maintenance, or quarter of a researcher’s fees.

We know this is a very expensive time of year, and  you will have lots of demands on your purse.  But, if you are able to donate please send a a donation, marked “annual appeal” to Ekklesia, Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, 235 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8EP.

Alternatively, you can donate via our PayPal account.
