‘Foxes Have Holes’ edited by Andrew Francis and Trisha Dale
Our second crowdfunded book is nearly ready to go into production. We are very excited to be publishing this book at a time when housing is such a critical issue as we believe it has a powerful contribution to make to the public debate. We will be launching the book at Manchester Cathedral at 6.30pm on the 5th April 2016 and subsequently in Edinburgh and London.
‘The Upside Down Bible’ by Symon Hill
This challenging new book from Ekklesia associate Symon Hill takes familiar Bible stories and asks non-Christians for a response. The results are unexpected, surprising and of great benefit to Christians wanting to look at the Bible in a fresh and challenging way. We are delighted to be hosting a leg of Symon’s book tour at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church on 20th January 2015, from 7.15-8.45pm. There will be special pre-drinks for Ekklesia partners from 6.30pm-7.15pm. Please email [email protected] if you would like to come.
Sex and Sensibility: Rev Sally Hitchener and Peter Tatchell in conversation
We were very sad to cancel this event in October and so are pleased we have been able to reschedule. We will be holding the conversation on February 2015, 6.30pm at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church. It promises to be a lively evening. Tickets are available here
Annual Appeal
Thank you for all who have contributed to our annual appeal on the theme ‘Make Room at the Inn’. Our focus has been the huge numbers of people displaced and on the move both at home and abroad, for whom there will be no room at the inn, whether it is refugees fleeing wars in Syria and Iraq, families forced to move due to the benefit cap, or disabled people unable to afford the bedroom tax. If you haven’t had time to donate but still want to give you can do so here
